CSFC Advocacy

CSFC has joined efforts to ask the Legislature to increase the size of state school bond sales in FY 2018-19. We need your county's help in our advocacy efforts!

The Governor is proposing to sell $640 million in state school bonds in FY 2018-19. This amount is insuffcient to meet the need. Schools have already submitted over $3.2 billion in new construction and modernization projects to the Office of Public School Construction (OPSC). CSFC supports CASH's request to increase the FY 2018-19 Proposition 51 school bond sales to $3 billion in School Facility Program (SFP) Projects.

How You Can Help:

Ask your Board to pass a County Board Resolution in support of increasing the speed and size of state school bond sales!

Resolutions raise awareness with policymakers about the importance of the School Facility Program in your local communities and the negative consequences of further delays. Please also encourage the districts in your region to pass resolutions in support of these efforts

Please submit resolutions to Jessica Contreras (jcontreras@m-w-h.com) by April 4, 2018 so that your story can be included in advocacy efforts.

Contact your State Assembly Member(s) and State Senator(s) and request they increase the FY 2018-19 Proposition 51 bond sales to $3 billion and fund $3 billion in School Faciilty Program projects.

Complete our survey to help us understand the demand for COE state-supported facilty projects in the near future under Proposition 51 as well as a future bond.
